About

Jack Whyte is an Ann Arbor-based sports and motorsports photographer specializing in high-speed action, elite athletic performance, and the defining moments that happen in fractions of a second.

Currently a Communications and Media student at the University of Michigan, Jack serves as a photography intern for Michigan Athletics one of the most storied athletic programs in the country covering all 27 varsity sports across football, basketball, hockey, gymnastics, water polo, and more. From the sidelines of The Big House to the ice at Yost Arena, he has built a body of work that captures the speed, emotion, and intensity of collegiate athletics at the highest level.

His work has reached beyond Ann Arbor. Jack's photography has been featured and credited on Harvard University Athletics, University of Southern California and athletes personal pages.

On the motorsports side, Jack is expanding rapidly into one of photography's most technically demanding disciplines. This summer, he joins the team at Car and Driver as an assistant to Marc Urbano, one of the most respected automotive photographers in the world, with over two decades as a Car and Driver staff photographer and a long running commercial relationship with Porsche.

Whether it's a Wolverine breaking away on a fast break at Crisler Center, a Porsche 963 pushing through a corner at speed, or a gymnast frozen at the peak of a release, Jack brings the same obsessive attention to light, timing, and storytelling to every frame.

Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Available for collegiate athletics, motorsports events, commercial automotive, and performance photography.
